Our Community Cares spotlights Braintree MA Neighbor Brigade!
For years the Braintree MA Neighbor Brigade has helped Braintree families who are experiencing temporary crisis due to illness, surgery, fire or other life events. Whether it be assistance with meal preparation, deliveries, rides, errands, or just stopping by for a friendly visit, this group jumps into action!
Co-Leaders Kelly Cobb-Lemire and Karen Osborne Greene teamed up with the Marge Crispin Center and Braintree Public Schools free breakfast and lunch Program in order to continue their efforts and adapt their team’s assistance routines to Covid-19 restrictions.
Every weekday, rain or shine, the Braintree MA Neighbor Brigade volunteers pack up their cars and provide critical deliveries to those most in need, such as our housebound elderly and at-risk student population. In addition to these efforts, the group also collects donations for the Marge Crispin Center Food Drive and South Shore Pet Food Pantry!
