Our Community Cares spotlights Braintree High School Class of 2020!
They may not get to experience the traditional milestones of being a senior due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the Class of 2020’s accomplishments are still cause for celebration!
Seniors at Braintree High picked up their caps and gowns this week and were welcomed by members of faculty, teachers and friends who, along with the community, want to make sure each and Senior feels special and knows how proud they are of them! In additions to their caps, gowns, honor cords and yearbooks every senior received a goodie bag filled with Wamp pride! Fasano's Catering, Lauria Real Estate, Braintree Rotary, and Tiger Home Inspection teamed up to bring Fasano’s food truck to campus and surprise every senior with a fresh hot lunch!
The Class will also be celebrated on Saturday, June 13th with a police escorted parade style graduation. They will also planning a live traditional ceremony at the stadium on July 30th. For the parade, Seniors, dressed in their caps and gowns, will ride in decorated cars with their immediate families. Beginning at 9 am, the parade will run from the RMV through town via South Braintree Square and past the town hall. They will proceed to BHS via the access road passing cheering faculty members along the way. They will be greeted by school and district officials and receive their diplomas. The entire town is invited to come cheer on the Class of 2020 and celebrate with them!
